Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider. What that means is that you will pay for counseling at the time of your session. I can provide a superbill after our sessions that you can use to seek potential reimbursement from your insurance. It’s important to look at your benefits if you will be seeking reimbursement. Depending on the plan, some clients receive 100% reimbursement, and some have no benefits.

You can always use a HSA or FSA card for services.

Also, many people have high deductibles, so unless you have a lot of medical expenses, you may not hit your deductible. If you have to pay 100% until you reach your deductible, you’ll pay out of pocket for in-network and out-of-network services. In this case, you will have to decide whether you want a counselor that is the best fit for you or let your insurance decide who you will see.

Lastly, it’s important to know that insurances require I give you (or your spouse) a mental health diagnosis. This is part of your medical record. If you feel uncomfortable with having a mental health diagnosis, that is another reason you may not want to use your insurance ben

How do I get help?

The first step in getting help is identifying the problem. The proper assessment of sex addiction is key. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), we specialize in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of sexual addiction. If you and/or your partner are confused about whether or not this is a problem, we would be happy to partner with you and help you find answers. We offer individual assessments, couples assessments, and can treat both addicts and partners. Group therapy is also an effective means of treatment for this addiction.
